Project Overview:

The Women Leadership Program is designed to strengthen the leadership capacities of women in the humanitarian and development sectors. This program focuses on enhancing the operational leadership and management skills of women to effectively navigate and negotiate with diverse stakeholders in crisis-affected environments. It aims not only to address the gender disparities in leadership roles but also to leverage women’s unique perspectives in decision-making processes to improve humanitarian and development outcomes.

The Women Leadership Program, is an initiative by UNOPS and other humanitarian organizations. A component of this program is designed to support senior leaders engaged with UN agencies, international and national non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This program is dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and management skills, enabling them to effectively engage with various stakeholders in crisis contexts and lead with confidence and innovation. Please note that this is not a direct job opportunity, but a potential one. About the Role:

We are in search of an ICF Certified coaches who specializes in leadership development to join our proposed team for Women Leadership Program. This individual will play a critical role in providing one-on-one coaching sessions to our trainees, focusing on personal and professional leadership development after the completion of classroom sessions. The coach will help unlock the potential of our trainees, guiding them to harness their leadership qualities and apply them effectively in their work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct personalized coaching sessions with trainees, focusing on leadership development and personal growth strategies.
  • Utilize a range of coaching techniques and tools to facilitate trainees’ understanding of their leadership styles, strengths, and areas for development.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to align coaching methods with the overall objectives of the Women Leadership Program.
  • Provide continuous support and feedback to trainees, encouraging reflection and application of learned leadership concepts in their professional lives.
  • Evaluate the progress of trainees, offering insights and recommendations to both the trainees and the program team for further development.

Qualifications:

  • Certification from the International Coach Federation (ICF) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in leadership coaching, with a preference for coaches who have worked in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Experience with women leaders in the humanitarian sector is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities related to women’s leadership in the humanitarian and development sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals towards achieving their personal and professional goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt coaching techniques to fit the diverse needs and backgrounds of trainees.
