Project Overview:
The Women Leadership Program is designed to strengthen the leadership capacities of women in the humanitarian and development sectors. This program focuses on enhancing the operational leadership and management skills of women to effectively navigate and negotiate with diverse stakeholders in crisis-affected environments. It aims not only to address the gender disparities in leadership roles but also to leverage women’s unique perspectives in decision-making processes to improve humanitarian and development outcomes.
About the Role:
Accord Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead our project (a potential one not awarded to the firm yet). The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the project’s execution from inception to completion, ensuring that all objectives are met within the defined timelines and budget. This role demands a blend of leadership, technical proficiency, and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of humanitarian operations, with a particular focus on promoting women in leadership roles within this context.
The PM will be in charge of the contract’s day-to-day management and implementation. The PM will serve as the point of contact for the client, stakeholders, and the project team. The PM is the top position for this project on the ground and is expected to lead the team, solve problems, and make sure the project goals and objectives are fulfilled on time with approved resources and acceptable quality. This is not a direct job opportunity, but a potential one. It is because we are at the stage of submitting our proposal at this time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Women Leadership Program, ensuring alignment with Accord Worldwide’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement innovative learning courses and materials focused on enhancing women’s leadership in humanitarian and development settings.
- Engage and negotiate with various stakeholders, including government officials, local authorities, donors, and partners, to foster collaboration and support for the program.
- Monitor and evaluate the program’s impact, making necessary adjustments to strategies and approaches to maximize effectiveness.
- Manage a diverse team of professionals, fostering an inclusive and dynamic working environment that encourages growth and development.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Social Science Studies or other similar fields.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of five years of substantial professional experience in humanitarian operations and learning course development.
- At least five years of extensive experience and exposure to humanitarian leadership practices, ideally participating in Humanitarian Country Teams or possessing familiarity with leadership structures in field operations.
- Profound knowledge of a broad range of humanitarian and development issues, with a minimum of two years of exposure to humanitarian and development operations and learning contexts.
- Specific expertise in advancing women in leadership within the humanitarian and development sectors, including strategies to strengthen operations, deliver assistance in access-constrained environments, and support human rights agendas.
