Accord Worldwide provided Market-Driven Vocational Trainings for over hundred male and female unemployed or under employed Afghan youth. The main objective of the project was to help youth to take part in the economic development activities to drive them towards employment or self-employment. Through this project different types of skills were transferred to the communities based on the result obtained from a thorough need assessment, which was conducted through various survey and methodology. The training material was developed based on the need assessment and all the trainees were equipped with raw materials.
This project was one of the key opportunities for the local youth to obtain necessary knowledge of the business as well skills. The participants were also briefed on Business Development Services (BDS) to enable them to start their own business.
Another aspect to highlight is Accord Worldwide’s promotion of opportunities for disabled people. Accord Worldwide offered 5% of seats to disabled participants as part of this project.
