Training Needs Assessment (TNA)

Training Needs Assessment (TNA)

Accord Worldwide conducted a Training Needs Assessment (TNA), funded by UNICEF for high risk to peaceful provinces of Afghanistan for all the health workers involved in polio vaccination. This TNA was to identify the knowledge and managerial gaps of the field staff and managers of the polio team. The main objective of this TNA was to come up with recommendations for different capacity building trainings for better performances of the health workers. This included traveling to high-risk provinces and collecting data for the TNA. Traveling to high-risk areas and collecting data could be extremely difficult for many local and international firms, however, the key success factor for Accord Worldwide is its integrated approach of projects and close coordination with local authorities.

This survey project was to assess and collect information on existing managerial knowledge, skills and practices of the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) staff to assess their need for the technical improvements.
